MDC Vacuum Products, LLC Announces New Director Of National Sales

Hayward, CA, January 25, 2010 – MDC Vacuum Products, LLC (“MDC” or the “Company”) today announced the appointment of Azam Owaisi as Director of National Sales effective today.

Prior to joining MDC, Azam served as Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Danaher Corp. (NYSE:DHR), a $11 billion global provider of professional, medical, industrial, commercial, and consumer products, where he managed sales and marketing for 13 of Danaher’s business units. Prior to Danaher, Azam spent eleven years at Mitsubishi Electric Automation in roles of Marketing Manager and as the District Sales Manager where he managed key accounts and vertical markets, developed accounts for Mitsubishi’s largest motion controller customer in the US, and was selected by top management to be the Global Key Account Manager in North America.

Mr. Owaisi is a graduate of University of Illinois with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and holds an MBA in Marketing, Finance and Operations Management from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

MDC Vacuum Products, LLC Announces New VP Of Business Development

Hayward, CA, June 1, 2009 – MDC Vacuum Products, LLC (“MDC” or the “Company”) today announced the appointment of Dana King as Vice President of Business Development.

Prior to joining MDC, Mr. King served as Vice President of Sales for A&N Corporation, a privately held company that manufactures and sells vacuum components, valves, flanges and fittings. During his time with A&N Corporation, Mr. King was instrumental in implementing a broad range of initiatives, including clarifying and pinpointing corporate goals, segmenting markets, identifying and targeting key accounts and defining effective sales practices in each area.

Mr. King is a Certified Professional in Inventory Management (CPIM) and a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), as well as a CPIM Instructor. Mr. King is a former Naval Flight Officer, with 10 years of service. He holds a B.S. Nautical Sciences from Maine Maritime Academy and an M.S. in Management from Troy State University.

MDC Vacuum Products, LLC Announces New Chief Operating Officer

Hayward, CA, November 17, 2008 – MDC Vacuum Products, LLC (“MDC” or the “Company”) today announced the appointment of Robert Malley as Chief Operations Officer effective today. Prior to joining MDC, Bob served as Vice President of Global Materials and Manufacturing at Intevac where he led the global materials, manufacturing, logistics, and new product operations groups. He also successfully developed and implemented volume manufacturing, materials/supply chain, and logistics operations in Singapore and supervised field logistics operations in five other countries. Prior to Intevac, Bob spent 13 years at Applied Materials where he served in executive and management roles in IT, Product Operations, Materials, Pilot Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Volume Manufacturing. Bob also served as an Engineer Officer in the US Army with roles as Professor of Mechanical Engineering at West Point, Company Commander in the 82nd Airborne Division, and junior officer leadership roles in the 24th Infantry Division. He is a graduate of West Point and holds a Masters of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

MDC Vacuum Products, LLC Announces New Senior Management Team

Hayward, CA, October 21, 2008 – MDC Vacuum Products, LLC (“MDC” or the “Company”) today announced the appointment of Luke Marusiak as Chief Executive Officer and member of its Board of Managers, effective today. The Company also appointed Tom Kim as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 22, 2008. Messrs. Marusiak and Kim have extensive experience in achieving global corporate growth, strong profitability and operational excellence. Prior to joining MDC, Mr. Marusiak spent nearly five years as Chief Operating Officer of Intevac, Inc. a publicly traded company that manufactures high vacuum thin film deposition tools used for production of hard disk media. At Intevac, Mr. Marusiak led an operations team that delivered over 600 % revenue growth, an expansion of manufacturing and sales into Asia, and a doubling of gross margins. Prior to Intevac, Mr. Marusiak spent 13 years with Applied Materials, Inc., the largest global supplier of semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment, most recently heading Applied Materials North American Field and Business Operations. Mr. Marusiak is a US Army and Desert Storm veteran. Mr. Kim holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a M.S. in Business Administration San Francisco State University. Mr. Kim is a Certified Public Accountant.
